Govt committed to providing quality & timely medical facilities to people: Health Minister

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Apr, 2026) Balochistan Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar on Tuesday said that the Balochistan government is committed to providing quality and timely medical facilities to the people and activating the New Trauma Center on modern lines is part of this vision.

He expressed these views while chairing a review meeting regarding the New Trauma Center in Quetta. The meeting reviewed the functioning of the New Trauma Center, administrative matters, availability of modern medical equipment and service delivery system in detail.

The meeting was attended by Secretary Health Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, former Secretary Health Punjab Ali Jan, Director General Health Amin Mandokhel, Additional Secretary Health Saqib Kakar, CEO Trauma Center Arbab Kamran, Provincial Coordinator of Balochistan Health Management and Information Systems Ababgar Baloch, and other senior doctors and relevant officials.

The meeting was given a detailed briefing by the Director of Operations, New Trauma Center, Dr Sher Afgan Rahisani, in which the ongoing steps were informed to make the New Trauma Center fully functional. During this, various aspects of the start of services were discussed in detail.

The Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar directed that all administrative and medical matters be finalized as soon as possible so that the Trauma Center could be immediately activated for the public and the best medical facilities could be provided in case of emergency.

At the end of the meeting, the commitment was reiterated that the New Trauma Center would be fully activated as soon as possible and presented for the service of the public.
