ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th May, 2026) Federal Minister for Climate Change Dr Musadik Malik on Monday stated that the government has introduced subsidies aimed at easing the financial burden on low-income citizens.
Speaking to a private television channel, the minister said that motorcyclists and rickshaw drivers have benefited from subsidized petroleum prices adding that the public also availed free metro bus service for an entire month as part of the
relief measures.
Commenting on the situation in the middle East, he emphasized that Pakistan seeks lasting peace in the region, noting that war is not a viable solution to conflicts.
Highlighting Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts, he stated that the country has played a constructive role in facilitating
dialogue between the United States and Iran.
He said Pakistan has earned recognition in the international community for its role as a mediator.
