QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Apr, 2026) Parliamentary Secretary for Forests, Sardar Masood Loni, held an important meeting with Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister of Balochistan, Imran Zarkoon, to discuss the recent floods and heavy rains that struck Duki and surrounding areas.
During the meeting, Loni briefed the Principal Secretary on the extent of damages, the hardships faced by the affected population, and the urgent need for relief operations. He stressed the importance of immediate government attention and practical measures to assist those impacted.
Taking serious notice of the situation, Principal Secretary Imran Zarkoon directed the Director General of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), along with divisional and district administration officials, to ensure swift relief and rehabilitation efforts.
He emphasized that timely assistance, including food supplies and medical facilities, must be prioritized, warning that negligence would not be tolerated.
Zarkoon further instructed district authorities to maintain continuous monitoring of affected areas and to carry out rescue and relief operations in a coordinated and effective manner. He underscored that the government’s Primary goal is to alleviate the suffering of flood victims as quickly as possible.
The Balochistan government reaffirmed its commitment to mobilize all available resources to provide maximum relief to the affected communities and to tackle the challenges posed by the flood situation.
