Govt. raises petrol, diesel prices from July 29

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Jul, 2026) The Federal government on Tuesday increased the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) with effect from July 29, 2026, under the revised petroleum pricing mechanism.

According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised the ex-depot prices of petroleum products following a review of the pricing mechanism notified by the federal government.

The price of Motor Spirit (petrol) has been increased by Rs1.63 per litre, raising it from Rs334.18 to Rs335.81 per litre.

Similarly, the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) has been increased by Rs1.55 per litre, taking it from Rs386.83 to Rs388.38 per litre.

The ministry said the revised prices will come into effect from July 29, 2026.
