Govt slashes petroleum prices; diesel sees major cut

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Apr, 2026) The government on Friday announced a major reduction in petroleum prices, offering relief to consumers across the country.

The new rates will take effect from April 11, 2026.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) has been reduced by Rs134.

81 per litre, bringing it down from Rs. 520.35 to Rs. 385.54.

The price of Motor Spirit (petrol) has also been cut by Rs11.83 per litre, from Rs378.41 to Rs366.58.
