Gracie Abrams has announced her third studio album, 'Daughter From Hell', marking the next phase in her rapidly evolving career as she builds on the success of her previous releases and growing global fan base. The singer took to Instagram on May 11 to confirm the album's title and release date, revealing that the record will arrive on July 17, accompanied by a wave of anticipation from fans who had been tracking cryptic hints for months. In the lead-up to the announcement, Abrams had been teasing new material through a series of Instagram posts, including studio clips, images from Long Pond Studios and subtle references that fans interpreted as signs of a third album rollout. Further excitement was generated when producer Aaron Dessner, a frequent collaborator, reposted the album artwork and revealed that the pair had been working on the project for around two years, describing it as a period of musical experimentation and artistic expansion. He said their collaboration had pushed into "uncharted waters sonically", while also deepening Abrams's lyrical expression, a sentiment the singer acknowledged with a brief but playful response in the comments. Abrams released the album's lead single, 'Hit the Wall', on May 14, accompanied by a music video, marking the official start of a new musical era for the artist. The track reflects themes of emotional strain, relationships and mental health struggles, continuing her signature introspective style while signalling a more expansive sonic direction. In interviews following the release, Abrams described the new album as existing in an "in-between place", saying it reflects a period of uncertainty about the future while embracing a broader emotional and creative outlook. She also described the project as more existential in tone compared with her earlier work, adding that the recording process had been deeply meaningful alongside her collaborators. Speculation has also grown over possible guest appearances on the album after Abrams hinted in an interview that she was "lucky to have great friends", fuelling online discussions about potential collaborations. Fans have since linked a number of artists to the project, though no official features have been confirmed ahead of the July release. The album follows Abrams's previous records 'Good Riddance' and 'The Secret of Us', both of which helped establish her as one of the most prominent voices in contemporary pop songwriting. With 'Daughter From Hell' set to arrive in July, anticipation continues to build as listeners await what Abrams has described as some of the most personal music of her career.
