FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Apr, 2026) A grand cleanliness operation has been launched in Tandlianwala tehsil under the Chief Minister

Punjab Maryam Nawaz’s “Suthra Punjab Program” as part of an ongoing deep cleaning campaign

to ensure zero-waste conditions in urban and rural areas.

Managing Director (MD) Suthra Punjab Agency (SPA) Abid Hussain Bhatti visited Tandlianwala

to monitor the operation and conducted a detailed inspection while Assistant Commissioner (AC)

Tandlianwala Aqsaa Imtiaz and District Manager Ata-ul-Mohsin were also present on the occasion.

During visits to bazaars and streets, the managing director interacted with shopkeepers and

residents to assess cleanliness standards.

Taking strict notice of public complaints, he reprimanded the project director of the contractor

firm on the spot and directed immediate corrective measures.

He said that achieving zero waste in both rural and urban areas was the top priority under the

deep cleaning campaign, adding that public complaints must be addressed promptly and effectively.

He directed officials to complete an updated survey of garbage-filled plots and instructed the

contractor to ensure thorough cleaning of such sites.

He emphasized that streets, neighborhoods, markets and major roads must be completely

cleaned to meet the targets of the Suthra Punjab Program.

The managing director also instructed monitoring officers that no negligence in sanitation

work would be tolerated and stressed the need for digital monitoring of all activities to enhance

transparency and performance.

Later, he visited a waste dumping site and directed authorities to plant trees around waste

enclosures to improve environmental conditions.

complaints through the Suthra Punjab helpline 1139 or WhatsApp number 03000191139

for timely redressal.
