ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Jul, 2026) Pakistan has launched a fully online registration system for Hajj 2027, introducing several new facilities for intending pilgrims, including the option for family members to register together through designated family groups, making the process more convenient and organized.

According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the ministry in collaboration with the National Information Technology board (NITB), has shifted the entire Hajj registration mechanism to a modern digital infrastructure.

Registration has been made mandatory, transparent and completely online for all pilgrims applying through both government and private schemes.

Under the new framework, applicants have been advised to create family groups, allowing members of the same family to register jointly.

Authorities have clarified that such groups must comprise only immediate family members or mahram relatives.

The digital system, accessible through the Pak Hajj App, is expected to streamline the registration process, significantly reduce paperwork and minimize reliance on manual filing.

The initiative will also help citizens save time and travel expenses while improving data accuracy and transparency.

The new platform will support better Hajj quota management and operational planning, while ensuring equal digital access for Pakistanis living both at home and abroad.

NITB, serving as the digital backbone of the project, stated that the reforms mark another important step towards e-governance, integrating public services through technology, automation and a more citizen-friendly approach to service delivery.
