Hajj Operation 2026:15,026 pilgrims arrive in Madinah; departure to Makkah begins amid robust facilities

MADINAH MUNAWWARA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Apr, 2026) The flight operation from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia continues uninterrupted, with a total of 15,026 Pakistani Hajj pilgrims arriving in the holy city of Madinah via 59 flights during the first seven days of the operation.

According to a spokesperson for the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Hajj operation is in full swing on Saturday, with an additional 2,200 pilgrims expected to arrive in Madinah via eight more flights.

To ensure the welfare and guidance of the pilgrims, a dedicated team of 264 officials comprising 80 members from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, 50 from the Hajj Medical Mission, and 134 other civil servants has already reached Saudi Arabia to serve as Khuddam-ul-Hujjaj.

The spokesperson highlighted that various departments, including the Main Control Office, Airport Reception, Catering, Accommodation, Transport, and the Call Center, are operating 24/7 to provide seamless services.

So far, the Hajj Mission has facilitated the visit of 4,611 Pakistani pilgrims to Riaz-ul-Jannah.

The Lost and Found department has also remained vigilant, successfully recovering and returning one lost pilgrim, 14 wheelchairs, and 673 pieces of luggage to their respective owners.

Regarding health services, the Pakistan Hajj Medical Mission is playing an active role. Medical teams have provided OPD services to 288 pilgrims, dental treatment to five, and ECG facilities to four individuals so far.

In a significant development, the first batches of pilgrims, having completed their eight-day stay in Madinah, are scheduled to depart for Makkah Mukarramah today. All administrative wings are working around the clock to monitor and facilitate the departure process, visitation to holy sites, and overall logistics to ensure a comfortable journey for the guests of Allah.
