Hajj Operation Progresses Smoothly: Over 84,000 Pakistani Pilgrims Reach Saudi Arabia

MAKKAH MUKARRAMAH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th May, 2026) Under the ongoing Hajj operation from Pakistan, a total of 84,752 pilgrims under the government scheme have arrived in Saudi Arabia. This figure represents 71% of the total government Hajj quota.

According to the latest report from the Office of Pilgrim Affairs Pakistan, these arrivals were facilitated through various flights, with 164 landing in Madinah Munawwarah and 174 at Jeddah airport.

Currently, 77,821 pilgrims (92%) are stationed in Makkah Mukarramah, while 6,931 pilgrims (8%) are completing their scheduled stay in Madinah Munawwarah. To ensure the welfare of the pilgrims, a dedicated field staff of 1,397 personnel has been deployed, comprising medical teams, seasonal staff (Khuddam), and IT experts.

To facilitate the movement of pilgrims for prayers at the Holy Haram, a fleet of 371 buses is operational 24 hours a day. The transport system maintains a ratio of approximately 210 pilgrims per bus to ensure efficient transit.

Regarding spiritual arrangements, a total of 33,108 pilgrims have been blessed with the opportunity to visit Riaz-ul-Jannah, including 17,744 men and 15,364 women. Additionally, Haram guides in Makkah have successfully assisted 16,388 pilgrims who had lost their way, safely escorting them back to their respective accommodations.
