Imam Sheikh Ali Al Hudaify urges Muslims to remain patient during hardships, fear Allah, and strengthen their faith through sincere worship and devotion
ARAFAT: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-May 26th, 2026) Millions of pilgrims gathered in the plains of Arafat on Tuesday to perform Wuquf-e-Arafah, the most important pillar of Hajj, as Imam Sheikh Ali Al Hudaify delivered the annual Hajj sermon at Namirah Mosque.
In his address, Imam Sheikh Ali Al Hudaify urged Muslims to remain patient during hardships, fear Allah, and strengthen their faith through sincere worship and devotion.
He said true success in the Hereafter lies in monotheism and worshipping Allah alone, while calling on Muslims to fulfil their commitments and remain steadfast in righteousness.
The imam reminded worshippers that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the final messenger of Allah and urged Muslims to uphold honesty, avoid falsehood, backbiting, and religious innovations.
Highlighting the importance of Hajj, Sheikh Al Hudaify said the pilgrimage reflects unity, harmony, cooperation, and solidarity among Muslims from around the world.
He also advised pilgrims to maintain discipline during Hajj and avoid disputes, political slogans, and activities that could disturb the sanctity of the pilgrimage.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Pilgrims were urged to follow the instructions issued by Saudi authorities to prevent disorder and ensure the safety of all participants during the rituals.
Special prayers were offered for forgiveness, acceptance of worship, and peace and prosperity for Muslims worldwide.
Following the sermon, pilgrims offered combined and shortened Zuhr and Asr prayers before continuing prayers and supplications in Arafat until sunset. Pilgrims are later scheduled to proceed to Muzdalifah for the next stage of Hajj.
Namirah Mosque holds historic significance in islam as the site associated with the Farewell Sermon delivered by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Located near Arafat, it is considered one of the largest mosques in the holy sites area.
Separately, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended greetings to the Muslim world and pilgrims performing Hajj, describing the occasion as a spiritually significant opportunity to seek the mercy and blessings of Allah Almighty.
He prayed for the acceptance of the pilgrims’ worship and urged Muslims to follow Islamic teachings and values in their daily lives.
