Haq Doh Peshawar Tehreek announces anti-corruption movement

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Apr, 2026) The “Haq Doh Peshawar Ko Tehreek”on Monday announced to launch a strong movement against alleged corruption in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial government, said Jamaat-e-Islami, Bahrullah Khan Advocate.

The announcement was made during a meeting of the senior leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami District Peshawar, held under the chairmanship of District Ameen Bahrullah Khan Advocate.

The meeting was attended by President of the Tehreek and former provincial minister Kashif Azam Khalil, General Secretary and former nazim Tariq Mateen, former provincial minister Hafiz Hashmat Khan, along with former candidates for national and provincial assemblies and former nazims.

Addressing the participants, Bahrullah Khan Advocate and Kashif Azam Khalil alleged that the provincial government had been neglecting Peshawar, adding that development projects approved for the city had fallen prey to corruption.

They claimed that corruption cases were surfacing while relevant institutions had remained silent. They announced that the

Tehreek would soon stage a protest sit-in outside the NAB office against the alleged corruption and silence of authorities.
