Harnai roof collapse injures child amid heavy rains, authorities respond swiftly

According to local sources, the roof of a house owned by Nadir Khan suddenly collapsed during the rainfall, injuring a young girl, Kainat Bibi, aged approximately five to six years.

The child sustained injuries but was promptly provided with medical treatment. The incident has caused concern not only for the affected family but also among other residents, many of whom live in similarly vulnerable housing structures.

Taking immediate notice of the situation, Deputy Commissioner Mir Arshad Hussain Jamali assured that the district administration stands firmly with the public in times of hardship. On his special instructions, relief supplies were swiftly delivered to the affected household.

In an official statement, Arshad Hussain Jamali emphasized that the administration remains on high alert in light of the ongoing rains spell. He noted that all available resources are being mobilized to respond to emergencies, with relevant departments directed to closely monitor low-lying areas and mud houses to minimize risks and prevent further damage.

“Protection of human life is our top priority, and no negligence will be tolerated,” Jamali said, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to public safety.

Residents appreciated the prompt response of district authorities and expressed hope that such proactive public service efforts will continue.
