Peshawar Zalmi qualify for HBL PSL 11 playoffs as they remain at top of table with 13 points from seven matches

KARACHI: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-April 17th, 2026) Quetta Gladiators delivered a commanding all-round performance to defeat defending champions Lahore Qalandars by six wickets in the 26th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 at the National Bank Stadium on Friday.

Batting first, Lahore Qalandars struggled to build partnerships and were bowled out for 134 in 19.5 overs.

Their innings never gained momentum as wickets fell at regular intervals.

Haseebullah Khan top-scored with a cautious 33 off 37 balls, while Fakhar Zaman and Usama Mir contributed 20 and 22 runs respectively.

No other batter was able to play a significant innings.

Quetta’s bowlers dominated the proceedings, with Usman Tariq and Jahandad Khan taking three wickets each. Alzarri Joseph claimed two wickets, while Saqib Khan added one.

In reply, Quetta Gladiators chased down the target comfortably, scoring 138/4 in 16.

2 overs, with 22 balls remaining.

Rilee Rossouw led the chase with an unbeaten 60 off 49 deliveries, hitting five fours and two sixes.

He was well supported by Hasan Nawaz, who scored a quick 49 off 32 balls, including six fours and two sixes.

The duo shared a crucial 104-run partnership for the third wicket, rescuing Quetta after an early collapse left them at 11/2 inside three overs.

For Lahore, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Sikandar Raza, and Haris Rauf took one wicket each, but their efforts were not enough to defend the total.

With this victory, Quetta Gladiators moved to fourth place on the PSL 11 points table with six points and an improved net run rate of 0.483.

The result also confirmed Peshawar Zalmi’s qualification for the PSL 11 playoffs as they remain at the top of the table with 13 points from seven matches.
