LAHORE: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-April 1st, 2026) Fakhar Zaman, the batter for Lahore Qalandars, has filed an appeal against the two-match suspension imposed on him over allegations of ball tampering amid HBL PSL 2026.

The Pakistan cricket board had on Monday handed Fakhar Zaman a two-match ban after declaring him guilty of ball tampering, terming the offence a Level 3 breach of the code of conduct.

The sanction was imposed under the relevant article dealing with ball tampering violations.

Sources confirmed that the player has now approached the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Technical Committee to challenge the suspension.

The incident reportedly occurred during a match between Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings. Following the allegation, match referee Roshan Mahanama conducted a hearing before announcing the disciplinary action.
