HBL PSL 2026: Quetta Gladiators opt to bowl first against Karachi Kings

Both teams are quite determined and are playing at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore

LAHORE: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-March 27^th, 2026) Quetta Gladiators captain Saud Shakeel on Friday won the toss and elected to bowl first against Karachi Kings, led by David Warner, in a HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) match at Lahore’s Qaddafi Stadium.

Speaking after the toss, Saud Shakeel explained that the decision to bowl was strategic.

“We will bowl first as I anticipate dew settling later in the game, which could make batting easier in the second innings,” he said.

Reflecting on his leadership, Shakeel added, “This is my second season as captain, and I am very satisfied. Playing for Quetta Gladiators has become a habit, and being part of the team for three consecutive years makes me very happy.”

The match promised an exciting contest as both teams look to start the PSL season on a strong note.
