RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Feb, 2026) Rawlapindi's health authority has registered 57,366 premises covering 148,000 individuals under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s flagship Community Health Inspector (CHI) programme, officials said in the latest weekly performance update.
The data, received by APP shows that 96.9% of mapped sites 55,606 units are residential houses, while overall geo-tagging has reached 99.8%.
According to the data, 106,030 families have been identified so far, covering a tracked population of 267,950 individuals. Of these, 148,397 members have been registered, reflecting an overall registration rate of 55%.
Under the programme model, each Community Health Inspector (CHI) is assigned a defined geographic cluster comprising approximately 3,500 individuals' population. The first phase focuses on digital household registration through a mobile application before transitioning to medical service delivery.
Single-family households which is defined as one head of family, spouse and children, account for 33,673 families, with 94.1% of family heads registered. In contrast, multiple-family is the one showing a wider registration gap. Of the 72,357 families identified in this category, only 31.1% of family heads have been registered, while 67.1% of registered records require completion. Besides limited resources and high disciplined responsibility, the overall stats show a positive graph of the weekly performance.
The programme is aimed at providing citizens with basic medical services at their door step.
"Once registration within each cluster is completed, inspectors will begin screening for chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension etc strengthen communicable disease surveillance and ensure follow-up of childhood vaccination under the Expanded Programme on Immunization", said Dr Waqar Ahmad, District Health Authority spokesman.
"The initiative forms part of the Chief Minister’s broader population-based Primary healthcare reform strategy aimed at digitized tracking, early disease detection and improved immunization coverage at the community level", he added.
The CHIs, while collecting population data, will also start the medical services to citizens in clusters which would reach their completions. This reflects the robust plan behind the CHI Programme envisioned by the chief minister.
"The data collection and registration have to be completed by the month of May this year, but simultaneously door to door services will be initiated as well", Dr Waqar said.
Citizens are urged to get them registered through the visiting community inspectors and cooperate with them.
"These CHIs will be equipped with all necessary medical check up tools like diabetics testing kits, BP Opperatus, tools etc., they will guide the citizens for necessary treatment and the health facilitation centers", he added.
