Heatwave Relief Camp established in Shaheed Benazirabad

NAWABSHAH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd May, 2026) In response to ongoing heatwave, a relief camp has been set up at Allah Wala Chowk to provide assistance to public on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad, Abdul Samad Nizamani.

The Municipal Corporation in this regard established the camp to supply cold drinking water to public suffering from extreme temperatures. Teams from Rescue 1122 Shaheed Benazirabad have also been deployed at the site to support the initiative. In addition to distributing cold water, Rescue 1122 personnel are providing first aid to individuals affected by the heatwave in order to minimize health risks associated with prolonged exposure to high temperatures.

Rescue staff are also educating citizens about precautionary measures, including avoiding direct sunlight, increasing water intake, and refraining from unnecessary outdoor activities. The initiative has been taken by the district administration and relevant departments to ensure the health and safety of residents during the severe heat spell.
