Heavy hailstorm causes damages to crops, orchards and vehicles in Kurram

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) Severe weather linked to climate change has caused widespread damages. in Kurram district, where heavy hailstorms and rainfall continue to disrupt daily life.

According to reports from the district on Wednesday, intermittent rain and hailstorms have affected several areas of the district, particularly Sadda and nearby regions in Lower Kurram tehsil.

The severe hailstorm caused significant damage to standing crops and orchards, leaving local farmers facing heavy financial losses.

The hail also damaged dozens of vehicles in Sadda, smashing windows and denting car bodies in multiple locations.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast more rain and possible hailstorms in the coming time and advised residents to take precautionary measures to stay safe.
