Heavy rain lashes Abbottabad, officials crack down on waste collection & drainage failures

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Mar, 2026) Under the provincial government's Good Governance Roadmap (District Service Delivery), field monitoring remains in full swing across the district.

Following the directives of Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad, Sarmad Saleem Akram, Additional Assistant Commissioner-I Kamran Ali Shah conducted field visits to various areas.

During the tour, inspection teams reviewed waste collection points in Banda Sanjalian, Banda Qazi-1, and Dobather-1. Officials examined cleanliness standards, waste disposal procedures, and overall arrangements at these sites.

Later, the team identified water ponding points at Link Road, Band Khoh, and Fawara Chowk. While assessing the drainage system, the Additional Assistant Commissioner issued on-site instructions for timely water disposal and preventive measures to avoid water accumulation in the future.

The monitoring drive is part of ongoing efforts to improve service delivery at the grassroots level.
