Heavy rains trigger landslides and flash floods across Hazara division, several villages cut off

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Apr, 2026) Torrential rains continued to wreak havoc across the Hazara division, with a major landslide in the Kewai Damgarian area of Mansehra blocking a key road and disrupting traffic flow. Rescue 1122 Mansehra teams, along with police and local residents, launched relief operations.

The debris removal process was initiated promptly, and through joint efforts, the road was cleared and traffic was restored. Fortunately, no loss of life has been reported in this incident.

However, the situation remains critical in other parts of the division.

According to reports, continuous heavy downpours have triggered flash floods and multiple landslides in remote village areas across Hazara, leaving several settlements completely disconnected from nearby cities. Land routes have been severed, and residents in these cut-off areas face limited access to essential supplies and emergency services.

Rescue 1122 Mansehra teams remain on 24/7 alert to handle all types of emergencies. Citizens are urged to exercise extreme caution when traveling through hilly and sensitive areas during rainfall. In case of any emergency, call 1122 immediately.
