Holiday orders strictly implemented, schools to reopen from April 01

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Mar, 2026) Strict implementation of the Punjab government’s directives regarding school holidays is underway across Rawalpindi, Chief Executive Officer CEO education Yasin Baloch said on Thursday.

He stated that all public and private educational institutions had been clearly instructed to comply with the notified schedule of holidays, adding that no violation would be tolerated under any circumstances.

The educational institutions were put on online classes amid developing regional situation that has drawn a converse effect on petraoleum products' prices. The government strictly ordered all educational institutions to follow the SOPs devised by it.

Monitoring teams have been constituted to ensure adherence to the orders, and surprise visits are being conducted in different areas of the district.

Yasin Baloch warned that strict action would be taken against institutions found violating the government’s instructions. He urged school administrations to act responsibly and prioritize the safety and well-being of students.

Meanwhile, the Punjab government has recently announced reopening of regular in-person classes from April 1, terminating the online mechanism of classes. The government dismissed rumors of an extension of holidays or a shift to online classes till April 15.
