Housing Estate Nokundi project essential for improving residential facilities in promoting urban progress of area: Babar

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Apr, 2026) Secretary Communications and Works (C&W) Babar Khan on Monday said that the Housing Estate Nokundi (HEN) project is an important strategic project aimed at improving residential facilities in Nokundi and promoting urban development.

He expressed these views while chairing a review meeting regarding the Housing Estate Nokundi project. Chief Architect Dr. Sohrab Marri, SE Rakhshan Circle Walid Ahmed Lehri, Executive Engineer Ali Akbar Barozai, Mines and Minerals P&D and consultant attended the meeting.

The Consultant and Executive Engineer gave a detailed briefing regarding the Housing Estate Nokundi project.

Addressing at the meeting, Secretary Communications and Works Babar Khan said that the Housing Estate Nokundi project is an important strategic project aimed at improving residential facilities in Nokundi and promoting urban development.

He said that since Nokundi is an important area in terms of border trade and Saindak and Reko Diq projects, the establishment of a modern housing estate here would not only be beneficial for the local population but also for future investments.

The Secretary further said that the completion of this project would create new employment opportunities in the area and improve the infrastructure of the area, incoming investment would also increase and the quality of life of the people here could also be improved. The Secretary said that the Housing Estate of Nokundi is a visionary project that would prove to be an important milestone in the social and economic development of the area.
