Housing secretary reviews development of Sky Garden, Green Enclave-I

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Apr, 2026) Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Works, Captain (R) Muhammad Mahmood, conducted a comprehensive site visit to two flagship projects of the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA): Sky Garden and Green Enclave-I.

He was accompanied by the Director General of FGEHA, Captain (R) Zafar Iqbal, along with other senior officials of the Authority.

During his visit to Sky Garden, the Secretary reviewed the ongoing development work in detail. To ensure timely completion, he directed the relevant authorities to accelerate the pace of development activities. He also issued explicit instructions to the technical team to finalize all pending tasks without delay.

Emphasizing that the protection of allottees' interests was top priority, the Secretary directed that possession of at least 2,000 plots in Mouza Kathar (Phase-I) be handed over at the earliest. He further instructed that all essential utilities, including electricity, water, gas, and adequate security arrangements, be ensured.

Following the site visit, the Secretary chaired a high-level meeting with all stakeholders regarding Green Enclave-I.

The meeting focused on operational challenges, resource allocation, and existing bottlenecks. The technical team was instructed to resolve all issues with joint venture (JV) partners strictly in accordance with legal frameworks. JV partners were also urged to commence physical development work on-site without further delay.

The Secretary issued clear guidelines to improve inter-departmental coordination and ensured transparency in all processes.

Reaffirming the Government’s commitment to providing quality housing, the Secretary stated that completing all projects within stipulated timelines remained a top priority. “By ensuring modern standards, transparency, and efficiency in our development projects, we will maintain public trust. All available resources must be utilized to establish these projects as exemplary residential models,” he said.

The visit concluded with directives to the relevant officials to ensure immediate progress on the Green Enclave-I project and bring it to completion at the earliest.
