MUZAFFARGARH:

Patrolling police on Saturday recovered a large quantity of dead chicken during routine vehicle checking in Tehsil Jatoi.

A picket was established at Head Bikani where a suspicious vehicle emitting a foul smell was identified among a queue of vehicles.

Upon inspection, authorities discovered approximately 40 maunds of dead chicken loaded in the vehicle's back compartment. The driver was immediately arrested, and a case was registered against him.

Police said investigations were underway to trace other individuals involved in the illegal transportation and determine the intended destination of the meat.
