Hyd police gun down 4 suspected robbers in one encounter

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Apr, 2026) In a midnight police raid, 4 suspected robbers were shot dead in an encounter occurring between the cops of Tandojam police and allegedly 7 armed suspects on Tando Qaisar link road.

The police spokesman Inspector Shahid Usman informed here on Saturday that the slain suspects opened fire on the Tandojam police which called reinforcements with the cops from Tando Yousuf and Rahuki police stations coming to their help instantly.The SHOs of all the 3 police stations were present during the exchange of fire but all policemen remained unscathed in the incident.The spokesman claimed that 4 suspects were gunned down but their accomplices managed to escape.He identified the slain suspects as Abdul Qadoos Lashari, Asad Bozdar, Abdul Jabbar Sabzoi and Irfan Buledi.The inspector said they all were allegedly involved in a recent highway robbery in which a passenger bus coming from Mirpurkhas to Hyderabad was looted.

According to Usman, Lashari was booked in 12 FIRs in Sukkur, Khairpur, Jamshoro and Dadu districts; Bozdar in 3 FIRs in Karachi; Sabzoi in 4 in Karachi and Shikarpur; and Buledi in 3 in Karachi.The spokesman told that the hunt for the escaping suspects continued but their whereabouts and identities were still not known.The dead bodies of the slain suspects were shifted to Liaquat University Hospital for postmortem.In October, 2025, cops of Hyderabad police had shot dead the same number of suspects in the jurisdiction of Jamshoro district on M9 Motorway.Those suspects had killed a teenager in Karachi in a vehicle snatching incident some hours before their encounter in Jamshoro.
