ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th May, 2026) The Islamabad district administration on the final day of Eid ul Azha declared the citywide cleanliness operation successful after completing action on all complaints related to waste disposal and sanitation during the three days of Eid.
According to a performance report issued by the district administration, a total of 538 complaints were received through different channels during Eid ul Azha.
The report stated that 324 complaints were registered on the first day, 208 on the second day, and six complaints on the third and final day of Eid.
Officials said immediate action was taken on every complaint, resulting in a 100 percent response rate across all sectors and areas of the Federal capital. The administration also confirmed that no pending complaints remained by the end of the operation.
Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Memon appreciated the work of officers, sanitation staff, and field teams who remained deployed throughout the Eid holidays to ensure timely disposal of animal waste and cleaning of roads and streets.
He said officers and workers stayed in the field instead of spending Eid with their families to maintain cleanliness across the city. He added that complaints received through the 1334 helpline were addressed without delay and citizens were contacted afterward for feedback regarding the response and performance of the teams.
The deputy commissioner said the administration made efforts to ensure that no animal waste remained unattended at any location in Islamabad during the Eid days.

The administration also carried out post-sacrifice cleaning operations on major roads, streets, and residential areas. Teams continued monitoring different sectors to remove waste and maintain sanitation conditions during and after the Eid days.
Officials said a few incidents were reported where animal waste was thrown openly outside designated collection points. The district administration said strict action was taken in such cases to ensure compliance with cleanliness instructions issued before Eid ul Azha.
The district administration thanked residents of Islamabad for cooperating with sanitation workers and field staff during the operation. Officials said public cooperation played an important role in maintaining cleanliness and helping teams complete waste collection and disposal activities on time.
The administration further stated that coordination between field officers, sanitation workers, complaint management teams, and helpline staff helped improve response time and reduce complaints significantly by the third day of Eid.
Authorities said monitoring of sanitation conditions would continue in the coming days to ensure that disposal sites remain clean and no leftover waste causes environmental or public health concerns in any part of the city.
