ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th May, 2026) The Islamabad administration has enforced a strict “one dish” policy, warning that a second violation will lead to sealing of marriage halls and arrests, along with legal action and fines.
According to the spokesman of ICT administration, the authority has stepped up enforcement of the one dish policy at wedding venues. The move aims to ensure compliance with government rules on serving limited food items at events. Officials said repeated violations will not be tolerated and action will be taken under the law.
According to the district administration, marriage hall owners found violating the policy more than once will face registration of a case. Orders have been issued that a second violation will result in sealing of the venue and arrest of the owners. The administration has directed all field officers to implement these measures without delay.
The administration also warned that holding an event inside a sealed building will lead to further legal action.
In such cases, those involved will be arrested and heavy fines will be imposed. Officials said these steps are necessary to ensure that sealed premises are not used in violation of orders.
The Deputy Commissioner Islamabad has directed the police to ensure arrests in all such cases. Law enforcement agencies have been directed to support administrative teams during inspections and operations. The aim is to make sure that no violator avoids action.
Assistant Commissioners have been directed to carry out daily operations across all areas of the city. They have been asked to take action against all marriage halls without any exception. The administration said monitoring teams will continue visits to venues to check compliance.
Officials stated that all departments are working together to enforce the policy. The administration has urged marriage hall owners and event organizers to follow the rules to avoid legal consequences. The campaign will continue, and further steps may be taken if violations persist.
