ICT Police net 12 lawbreakers, seize drugs, weapons

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Apr, 2026) Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police arrested 12 accused involved in various criminal activities during ongoing operations across the Federal capital.

An official told APP on Monday that police teams of Golra, Sumbal, Sangjani, Industrial Area, Noon, Shams Colony and Sihala police stations arrested 10 accused during a crackdown against crime.

He said 1,715 grams of hashish, 1,060 grams of heroin, five pistols and one rifle along with ammunition were also recovered from their possession.

The official said cases had been registered against the accused and further investigation was underway.

Additionally, during a special campaign against proclaimed offenders and absconders, police teams arrested two more criminals, taking the total number of arrests to 12.

Following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, Islamabad Police continues its effective crackdown against criminal elements to ensure peace in the federal capital.

SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza said Islamabad Police was committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens and no one would be allowed to disturb public peace.
