ICT Police’s ASI shines in China, secures 3rd position in master’s exam

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Apr, 2026) Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Waqas Ahmed of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police has secured third position in the semester examination of the Master’s Degree Program for International Law Enforcement Officers 2025 at the People’s Public Security University of China, Beijing.

An official told APP on Sunday that the officer was awarded a certificate of appreciation by the university administration in recognition of his outstanding academic performance.

He said Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi congratulated ASI Waqas Ahmed and appreciated his achievement.

IGP Rizvi termed the success a reflection of the officer’s dedication, hard work and commitment to professional excellence.

He added that ASI Waqas Ahmed had projected a positive image of Islamabad Police at the international level and brought pride to the force.

Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police reiterated its commitment to encouraging officers to pursue professional development and academic excellence.
