IG Rizvi reviews traffic management, citizen facilitation measures

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jun, 2026) Inspector General of Police (IGP), Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi held an important meeting with Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Muhammad Sarfraz Virk and SP Kainat Azhar Khan to review traffic management and public facilitation measures in the Federal capital.

An official told APP on Thursday that the meeting discussed Islamabad's traffic management system, services being provided to citizens and measures aimed at further improving enforcement of traffic laws.

IGP Rizvi reviewed ongoing initiatives to enhance traffic flow, facilitate commuters and strengthen professional policing standards across the city.

Rizvi directed the officers to ensure maximum convenience for citizens and take all necessary steps to improve traffic movement on major roads and intersections.

He emphasized the need for effective implementation of traffic laws and instructed officers to maintain high standards of professionalism while performing their duties.

IGP also stressed the importance of adopting citizen-friendly approaches and utilizing available resources to improve service delivery and traffic management.
