RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Mar, 2026) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab, Rao Abdul Karim, has approved the resumption of the recruitment process for 371 vacant posts in the Murree Police, bringing to an end a suspension that had remained in place since May 2025.

According to the revised schedule, the remaining stages of recruitment will commence on March 31, with the process concluding after the display of final merit lists on April 15.

District Police Officer (DPO) Murree, Dr Muhammad Raza Tanveer, said on Thursday that the recruitment would be conducted strictly on merit and with complete transparency in line with the vision of the IGP.

He directed all candidates to report at 6:00 am at Bahria Town Rawalpindi (Phase 8, Fatima Jinnah Junction) on their respective dates, bringing their original Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) and registration slips.

He said the physical and screening phase, including height and chest measurements, running and driving tests, would be held from March 31 to April 3, followed by a review board on April 4 and 5.

The written examinations and result announcements are scheduled for April 9 and 10, while interviews will be conducted from April 11 to April 14.

In a video message, the DPO stressed that merit would remain paramount and warned that any attempt to influence the process through political pressure, personal recommendations or unlawful means would lead to disqualification.

He reiterated that the Punjab Police were committed to ensuring a fair, transparent and merit-based recruitment process.
