IGP Rizvi reviews OIC conference security at Jinnah Convention Centre, Red Zone

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi on Monday visited the Jinnah Convention Centre and the Red Zone to review security arrangements for the 9th OIC Ministerial Conference on Women and inspect deployment at key duty points

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Jul, 2026) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi on Monday visited the Jinnah Convention Centre and the Red Zone to review security arrangements for the 9th OIC Ministerial Conference on Women and inspect deployment at key duty points.

An official told APP that the IGP Rizvi met senior police officers in the field and reviewed the overall security plan put in place for the international conference.

Rizvi inspected deployment at various duty points and assessed operational preparedness to ensure smooth and secure conduct of the event.

IGP Rizvi directed officers to maintain the highest level of vigilance, strengthen coordination and ensure foolproof security for foreign delegates and participants.

He instructed all deployed personnel to perform their duties with professionalism, discipline and a strong sense of responsibility.

The official said Islamabad Police had adopted comprehensive security measures to ensure the successful and peaceful conduct of the OIC conference.
