MIRPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Mar, 2026) The Mirpur Campus of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) Schools celebrated Pakistan Day with traditional zeal and graceful simplicity, as the event was held in line with ongoing national austerity measures. The ceremony reflected a deep-rooted sense of patriotism, while participants enthusiastically reaffirmed their solidarity, love, and affection for the government and people of Pakistan on this significant occasion.

Director Administration & Personnel Attiq Ul Amin attended as chief guest at the well-organized ceremony held at the principal campus. He was accompanied by senior academicians from various sections of the institution, meanwhile students and faculty gathered in large numbers to mark the 86th Pakistan Day with remarkable enthusiasm. The event maintained a disciplined and dignified atmosphere throughout.

Students from different classes presented beautifully arranged tableaus and national anthems of Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, highlighting various aspects of the Pakistan Movement.

Moreover, the performances effectively portrayed the historic significance of March 23, 1940, when the resolution for a separate homeland was adopted at Minto Park (now Iqbal Park) in Lahore. The presentations were received warmly by the audience, reflecting both creativity and national spirit.

Addressing the gathering, Attiq Ul Amin, Principal Mrs. Aysha Imran Mirza, and Vice Principal Mrs. Mariya Attique emphasized the historic and ideological importance of Pakistan Day. They noted that Pakistan emerged after the tireless struggle of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, therefore urging students and citizens to contribute actively towards building a strong and prosperous nation in line with his vision. The ceremony concluded with special prayers for the stability, sovereignty, and progress of Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, consequently reinforcing unity and a shared national purpose.
