Illegal constructions in National Town: DC takes notice, orders inquiry

Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry on Monday took notice of complaints and protests by residents of National Town on Faisalabad Road regarding alleged illegal constructions in the area and ordered an inquiry into the matter

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th May, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry on Monday took notice of complaints and protests by residents of National Town on Faisalabad Road regarding alleged illegal constructions in the area and ordered an inquiry into the matter.

According to the spokesperson for the DC office here, the DC directed Additional Deputy Commissioner Headquarters, Muhammad Arshad Wattoo, to meet the affected residents and hear their concerns in detail.

The ADC Headquarters subsequently met with protesting residents, who expressed serious reservations over what they described as encroachments and unauthorized constructions around National Town. They stated that the alleged illegal structures were creating multiple civic issues for the locality and urged the authorities concerned to take immediate action.

Municipal Officer Planning Muhammad Touqeer was also present during the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, the ADC Headquarters assured residents that the matter would be thoroughly investigated and that all stakeholders would be given a fair opportunity to present their viewpoint before any decision is made. He emphasized that the administration would proceed strictly in accordance with the law and that indiscriminate action would be taken against any illegal activity.

He further stated that resolving genuine public grievances remains a top priority of the district administration and that no one would be allowed to take the law into their own hands.
