Illegal deduction during Nigehban Ramazan Package payments prevented

KOT ADDU, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Feb, 2026) Under the directives of Deputy Commissioner Kot Addu, Bilal Saleem, sudden inspections were conducted at various locations to ensure the transparent distribution of the Nigehban Ramadan Package.

During the inspections, SD education Officer (Para) Muhammad Iqbal Long visited centers where payments were being made to beneficiaries through package cards. It was observed that Ashiq Rasool was illegally deducting money from beneficiaries in exchange for allowing them to withdraw funds.

Immediate action was taken at the scene, resulting in the arrest of Ashiq Rasool. Legal proceedings have been initiated against him, including the registration of a First Information Report (FIR).

The device used by the suspect was also promptly disabled on-site.

Deputy Commissioner Bilal Saleem issued strict instructions that all eligible beneficiaries under the Nigehban Ramadan Package must receive the full amount without any deductions. He warned that any act of corruption or exploitation would not be tolerated, and strict legal action would be taken against such elements.

The district administration urged the public to report any cases of illegal deductions or corruption immediately to ensure timely action.
