Implementation of paperless working in PESSI

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Jun, 2026) On the instructions of the Punjab Government, practical steps have been started for the implementation of paperless working in the Punjab Employees Social Security Institution (PESSI).

In this regard, an important review meeting was held at Head Office Lahore under the chairmanship of Commissioner Punjab Social Security Zulfikar Ali Kharl. All the principal officers of Head Office participated in the meeting while the progress regarding the implementation of paperless working and its implementation was reviewed in detail.

Commissioner Kharl while addressing the meeting said that according to the instructions of the Punjab government, paperless working system will be ensured in all social security offices and hospitals.

He directed the officers to ensure effective, complete and timely implementation of this system on a priority basis.

He issued orders to the social security offices and hospitals established across Punjab to fully implement paperless working and said that all institutions should speed up their efforts for the implementation of digital system.

Zulfiqar Ali Kharl said that transparency, speed, accountability and overall efficiency in official affairs will be further improved through modern digital system, digitalization will significantly improve timely processing of files, decision-making process and administrative affairs.

He further said reduction in paperwork will also enable significant savings in the annual expenses of the organization.
