Inquiry into Tezgam train derailment to be held on March 26-27

Federal Government Inspector of Railways, Rizwan-ul-Haq Hashmi, will conduct an inquiry into the derailment of 8 Down Tezgam on March 26 and 27, 2026, at the Committee Room of the Divisional Superintendent Office, Pakistan Railways, Multan

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Mar, 2026) Federal Government Inspector of Railways, Rizwan-ul-Haq Hashmi, will conduct an inquiry into the derailment of 8 Down Tezgam on March 26 and 27, 2026, at the Committee Room of the Divisional Superintendent Office, Pakistan Railways, Multan.

According to a notification issued on Wednesday, the inquiry proceedings will commence at 9:00 AM on both days.

The notification further stated that individuals possessing any information regarding the incident may present evidence directly before the Federal Government Inspector of Railways at the Divisional Superintendent Multan’s Committee Room on the specified dates.

Alternatively, relevant information can also be submitted in writing by March 30, 2026, to the Federal Government Inspector of Railways at Pakistan Railways Headquarters, Allama Iqbal Road, Lahore.
