Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Abdul Kareem conferred SSP rank badges on 10 promoted senior officers during a ceremony held at the Central Police Office (CPO) here on Tuesday

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Apr, 2026) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Abdul Kareem conferred SSP rank badges on 10 promoted senior officers during a ceremony held at the Central Police Office (CPO) here on Tuesday.

According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, the promoted officers attended the ceremony along with their families and relatives. The IGP congratulated the officers and their families, extending best wishes and directing them to serve and protect citizens with enhanced dedication, integrity, and professional competence.

Speaking on the occasion, the IGP said departmental promotion is a vital component of a police officer’s career, reflecting both performance and increased responsibilities.

He expressed confidence that the promoted officers would discharge their duties with greater commitment.

The officers promoted to SSP rank include Captain (retd.) Muhammad Ajmal, Muhammad Asim, Imran Ahmad Malik, Javeria Muhammad Jameel, Muhammad Imran, Khurram Shahzad, Ahmad Nawaz Shah, Muhammad Imran, Tasawar Iqbal, and Abdul Wahab.

Senior officers, including Additional IGs and DIGs, also attended the ceremony.
