FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Feb, 2026) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Captain (Retired) Nadeem Nasir chaired a key meeting of District Coordination Committee (DCC) and said that administrative effectiveness has been strengthened by promoting inter-departmental harmony to ensure rule of law at all costs in the district.
Colonel Adeel of Pakistan Army attended the meeting as special guest while Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), assistant commissioners and officers from Municipal Corporation, Environment Department, Transport Authority, Civil Defense, Police, Health Department and other relevant departments were also present.
The meeting received detailed briefings on ongoing campaigns and departmental performance besides reviewing reports on operations conducted, fines imposed and FIRs registered.
The deputy commissioner directed for strict legal action against transporters allowing passengers to travel on bus rooftops. He instructed the concerned authorities to ensure protection of life and property and strict enforcement of traffic laws.
The meeting was informed that effective traffic law enforcement measures had led to a noticeable reduction in accidents.
The deputy commissioner also directed to further accelerate the ongoing crackdown against quack doctors. He made it clear that no leniency would be shown to those endangering human lives.
He also directed to intensify enforcement against professional beggars through a coordinated strategy to curb the menace effectively.
The meeting reviewed progress on operations against land grabbers occupying state land and the deputy commissioner directed revenue officials to identify illegal occupants and initiate strict legal proceedings to retrieve valuable government land.
He also reviewed progress on the campaign against non-custom paid goods and illegal vehicles and instructed the relevant departments to make operations against smuggled and illegal items more result-oriented and focus on sustained actions yielding clear and lasting outcomes.
Colonel Adeel expressed satisfaction on the overall performance of district administration and appreciated effective coordination among institutions.
