Inter-District Boys, Girls Table Tennis Championship held

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jun, 2026) The Divisional Sports Department Sargodha organised an Inter-District Girls and Boys Table Tennis Championship at the Sports Gymnasium here on Friday, where players from various districts across the division showcased their athletic skills.

In the girls' singles competition, Aisha Khansa from Khushab district secured the first position while Maryam from Sargodha remained the runner-up.

In the girls' doubles category, the pair of Aisha Khansa and Anousha Maqsood from Khushab clinched the top spot, followed by Maryam and Kashaf from Sargodha in second place. District Khushab was awarded the overall champion trophy in the female category, while District Mianwali secured the second position trophy.

In the boys' singles events, Noman from Bhakkar district stood first while Farhan from Khushab took second place.

The boys' doubles title was won by Noman and Sadiq from Bhakkar, whereas Faizan and Farhan from Khushab remained runners-up. District Sargodha clinched the overall champion trophy in the boys' category, with District Bhakkar securing the second position.

The Divisional Sports Officer Rana Nadeem Anjum distributed medals and trophies among the winners during the concluding ceremony.

District Sports Officer Saima Manzoor, along with District Sports Officers from Bhakkar, Mianwali, and Khushab, were also present on the occasion.

Addressing the participants, Rana Nadeem Anjum stated that young players are the nation's asset and the sports department would continue its patronage to polish their talent. He congratulated Saima Manzoor and her team for winning the boys' overall trophy and praised the performance of Aisha Khansa and Anousha Maqsood.
