Inter-Provincial drug trafficker held with 5 kg hashish

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Apr, 2026) The Dera police have arrested an inter-provincial drug trafficker and recovered 5 kilograms of hashish during a targeted operation here in the Paharpur area.

According to police spokesman, the action was carried out on the directives of District Police Officer Ziauddin Ahmed. A team of Paharpur police, acting on intelligence information, apprehended the suspect, identified as Ikram, son of Faiz Muhammad, a resident of Dera Jalal Khelanwala in Mianwali.

During the search, 5 kilograms of hashish was recovered from the accused.

Police officials stated that the suspect was also wanted to Punjab Police in multiple cases and was actively involved in the illegal drug trade across provincial boundaries.

A case has been registered against the arrested accused. The police said raids are underway to arrest other members of the network.

DSP Paharpur Muhammad Adnan reaffirmed that operations against drug traffickers and criminal elements would be continued without discrimination.
