Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi Condemns Deadly Attack on Judicial Officers Near Mastung

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jul, 2026) Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has strongly condemned the firing incident near Mastung in Balochistan that targeted Session Judge Abdul Hakim Kakar and Judicial Magistrate Tariq Lashari.

Expressing deep sorrow over the incident, the interior minister mourned the deaths of Session Judge Abdul Hakim Kakar and his gunman. He extended his heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved families, praying for the departed souls to attain the highest ranks in the hereafter.

Naqvi also prayed for the swift recovery of Judicial Magistrate Tariq Lashari and all others injured in the attack.

Condemning the assault in the strongest terms, the minister said such "cowardly acts cannot weaken the nation's unwavering resolve."

He reaffirmed the government's solidarity with the families of the martyrs, stating, "We stand with the families of the martyrs and will continue to stand by them at all times."

The attack near Mastung has once again highlighted the security challenges facing judicial officers and law enforcement personnel in the region, with authorities expected to investigate the incident and bring those responsible to justice.
