Interior Minister praises security forces for successful operation against Kharijite terrorists in Khyber

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Apr, 2026) Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has commended the security forces and law-enforcement agencies for their successful joint operation against the so-called Kharijite terrorists in the Khyber region, which resulted in the elimination of 22 militants.

In a statement issued on Monday, the interior minister lauded the professional capabilities of the forces, noting that their bravery and dedication had once again thwarted the designs of terrorist elements. “I pay rich tribute to our brave sons for eliminating 22 terrorists belonging to the Kharijite network,” Mohsin Naqvi said.

He added that the security forces and law-enforcement agencies remained fully committed to eradicating terrorism from the country. “The nation is proud of its courageous soldiers,” he remarked, emphasizing that with the support of the people, the menace of Kharijite terrorism would soon be wiped out completely.

Extending his condolences, Minister Naqvi also expressed profound sympathy with the family of the 10-year-old child who embraced martyrdom due to terrorist firing during the operation.
