ABBOTTABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Apr, 2026) Intermittent rainfall in Abbottabad and Mansehra districts has brought much-needed relief to residents and tourists following a recent rise in temperatures over the past two days.
Light to moderate rain showers were recorded in different parts of both districts, leading to a noticeable drop in temperature and creating a pleasant atmosphere. The weather had turned unusually warm earlier this week, causing discomfort among locals.
With the arrival of rain, cool breezes and overcast skies have significantly improved conditions, making the environment more comfortable for daily activities. The change has also enhanced the appeal of nearby tourist destinations, particularly Galyat, Thandyani and Kaghan Valley, where visitors are enjoying the refreshed weather.
Residents have welcomed the sudden shift, describing it as a relief after the brief spell of heat. Tourist activity has also picked up, as the cooler weather has encouraged people to visit scenic areas.
However, authorities have advised caution due to slippery roads and reduced visibility in some areas, especially in hilly terrain. There is also a risk of landslides in vulnerable areas during continued rainfall.
According to the Meteorological Department, intermittent rain and thunderstorms are expected to persist over the next few days, which will likely keep temperatures at moderate levels.
District authorities have urged both residents and tourists to remain cautious, avoid unnecessary travel in high-risk areas, and follow safety guidelines during the changing weather conditions.
