TEHRAN: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-April 6th, 2026) Major General Majid Khadami, head of the intelligence organisation of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), was killed in a strike attributed to the United States and Israel, the Iranian media reported on Monday.
The development was reported by Fars news Agency, citing an official statement issued by the IRGC.
According to the statement, Maj Gen Khadami had been associated with Iran’s intelligence and security apparatus for nearly five decades and was considered a key figure in the country’s security structure.
The IRGC termed his services to domestic security and intelligence operations as highly significant, stating that his death marks a major loss for the country.
The statement added that details regarding his funeral prayers and burial would be announced at a later stage.
The killing comes at a time of heightened regional tensions, as hostilities between Iran, the United States and Israel continue to escalate, with ongoing attacks and retaliatory actions reported across multiple fronts.
