ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Apr, 2026) Federal Minister for Energy (Power Division) Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari on Wednesday lauded Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir for their role in facilitating a ceasefire between Washington and Tehran.
In a message posted on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the minister extended heartfelt congratulations to the country’s leadership, stating that their efforts helped ensure a ceasefire and prevented a potential escalation in the region.
“Just yesterday, this seemed impossible, but by the grace of Almighty Allah, these leaders have made the impossible possible,” he said.
Leghari remarked that the development had saved the entire region from destruction and instability, terming it a reflection of “excellent diplomacy.
