Iranian FM Araghchi meets PM Shehbaz, discuss regional situation

Iranian foreign minister Abbas Araghchi appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts.

Abbas Araghchi visited Islamabad and met Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday, where he briefed Pakistan’s leadership about Iran’s position on its talks with the United States.

The meeting focused on the current regional situation and relations between the two countries. Ishaq Dar and Syed Asim Munir were also present during the discussion.

Sources said the Iranian foreign minister explained Iran’s concerns regarding negotiations with the United States and shared important details with Pakistan’s leadership.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the importance of continuing diplomatic efforts to ensure peace and stability in the region. Both sides agreed to strengthen their relationship and increase cooperation in different areas.

The meeting also stressed the need to reduce tensions and continue dialogue. The prime minister said Pakistan would keep playing its role for peace in the region.

The Iranian foreign minister appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts, and both countries agreed that issues should be resolved through dialogue to maintain peace and stability.

Earlier, Abbas Araghchi also met Syed Asim Munir during his visit. Mohsin Naqvi and Asim Malik were also present, showing the importance of these high-level talks.
