IRGC claims over 200 US troops killed in Iranian attacks

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed that more than 200 U.S. troops were killed and many others were injured in Iran’s retaliatory attacks during the ongoing tensions with the United States.

IRGC spokesperson Gen. Hossein Mohebi rejected the casualty figures released by Washington, calling them inaccurate and saying they do not reflect the actual situation.

In an interview with Iran’s state news agency, Mohebi said Iranian strikes targeted U.S. military facilities across the region. He claimed that eight U.S. military bases were attacked and 20 protective shelters at one location were destroyed.

The IRGC spokesperson said the United States should allow journalists to visit the affected military bases so the international community can see the damage for itself. He also accused the U.S. government of withholding the full details of its military and financial losses.

Earlier, Mohebi also claimed that Iranian attacks over the past two weeks destroyed 11 U.S. military aircraft and helicopters.

According to him, the strikes also destroyed 17 drones, one F-15 fighter jet inside a shelter, one P-8 maritime patrol aircraft, one C-17 military transport aircraft, and eight aerial refueling aircraft.
