IRSA releases 133,200 cusecs water

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd May, 2026) Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Sunday released 133,200 cusecs of water from various rim stations with inflow of 124,600 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, the water level in the River Indus at Tarbela Dam stood at 1462.14 feet which was 62.14 feet higher than the dead level of 1402.00 feet. The water inflow and outflow in the dam were recorded as 41,400 cusecs and 50,000 cusecs respectively.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1161.20 feet, which was 111.20 feet higher than its dead level of 1,050 feet. The inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 36,000 cusecs each.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa, Guddu and Sukkur was recorded as 89,600, 61,400, 48,500, and 12,600 cusecs, respectively. Similarly, from River Kabul, a total of 33,000 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera, and 6,300 cusecs were released from River Chenab at Marala.
